Basic Bread-Machine White Bread

1 1.5lb loaf


200ml warm water
3/4 Tbsp Salt
3 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Vegetable or Canola Oil + additional for coating
300g High Gluten Flour
1 Tsp Instant Dry Yeast


  1. Coat the inside of the bread machine with oil
  2. Add the water
  3. Add sugar, salt, oil
  4. Add the flour, heap it up above the water level
  5. Make a small indentation in the flour and add the dry yeast. Make sure it doesn't get wet.
  6. Set loaf size (1.5 lb) and crust color and start the bread machine
